The Yellow Wallpaper
In this design, the intentions were to allow the audience to experience what the main character potentially saw within the yellow wallpaper. The main idea for this project was to make the viewers second guess what they are seeing and make them feel like they are unable to trust their senses. In order to accomplish this effect, faces have been blended into the pattern so that the longer the audience investigates the wallpaper, the more faces they’re able to locate. This aspect is not only important to keep the viewer’s attention, but also because it is relevant to the story. The font used for this design was Bodoni 72 because this typeface was commonly used in books during the 1800’s; which is a similar time frame from when the story was published.
